The 2008 Cabernet Franc is darker than the 07 with raspberry, vanilla, mocha and black pepper on the nose and palate with a medium vanilla finish that is silky with firm tannins. The 09 Rose has a beautiful pink hue fresh strawberries, cherries and red currant on the nose and palate very clean with firm acidity. The 2009 riesling is very exciting with citrus, peach and honeysuckle on the nose and peach and apple forward on the palate, big acidity is nicely balanced by an off dry slightly spicy finish..... we can't wait to get this one in the bottle. Once more the 2009 Pinot Gris has a hint of salmon colour peach and pear notes on the nose and palate with good weight on the finish.... this wine has been kind of closed and shy but is starting to open up!

“Traditional method sparkler made from 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, all estate fruit, so PEC's first VQA bubbly, made by self-taught winemaker, Jeff Innes. Peach and peach pit, honey and yeast, mineral aromas. Medium weight with lemony, zesty flavours elevated by a med-intensity and persistent mousse; mineraly finish. I much enjoy it with roasted quail, raisin - Basmati rice and sautee salsify. Will be available for the holidays, so you won't have to buy over-priced imports." 4 stars out of 5.

This is a lovely pinot noir. The aromas that are all sweet and tangy fruit, and they lead into a palate that replays with added complexity. There’s a nice relationship between the nuanced flavour profile, the bright acidity and the drying tannins. It’s drinking very well now (and through to the end of 2011) with chicken, pork, and grilled salmon.
